  1. DAKOTA WINS WA SOLO CHAMPIONSHIP

    DAKOTA WINS WA SOLO CHAMPIONSHIP
On the weekend I competed in the WA state title and was lucky enough to take the win. I went through the heats and finished with 14/15 points. Heat finishes: 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st. My good mate Kane beat me in the heat race and I’m gutted for him with the decision that saw him miss out on the final, he really deserved a better chance to ready himself for the start. I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity especially Nicole and Stephen from Ardross Tyre Service for letting me stay

    DAKOTA WINS GILLMAN SPEEDWAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Saturday night (8 February) saw a dramatic night’s racing at Gillman Speedway with a spectacular, although unfortunate, end to the Gillman Solo Championship. In the Solo Championship, after eight heats and a semi-final, the line-up for the final was Dakota Ballantyne, Brayden McGuinness, Declan Knowles and Liam May. Ballantyne was the top scorer with 11 of a possible 12 points, with McGuinness on 10 and Knowles on 8 but it was May who loomed as the biggest threat of depriving Ballantyne of a

Great Britain boss Simon Stead hopes to make their trips to Australia an annual event after securing a 2-0 series victory in Perth on Saturday. Skipper Tai Woffinden was again the star of the show roaring to another maximum - this time reeling off five straight wins to lead Great Britain to back-to-back victories at Pinjar Park. Stead said: “All the lads deserve great credit for what they have achieved here, they have done everything right and I’m proud of them. “It’s been a brilliant

MAX FOR WOFFY AS LIONS ROAR IN PERTH
Great Britain hero Tai Woffinden roared to a 14 paid 15-point maximum on his Lions return to inspire his country to a 50-39 victory over Australia in a test match at Perth’s Pinjar Park. Woffy sat out the 2019 Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations Final due to a back injury and endured a difficult end to the season in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series. But there wasn’t a hint of rustiness from the Wroclaw star as he blazed through the card on the track his late father Rob helped to build in

In a dramatic twist to the two forthcoming Australia Versus Great Britain International Friendlies at Perth’s Pinjar Park Motorcycle Speedway this coming weekend, Jason Crump, Australian 3 times World Solo Champion, has been selected as Australia’s lead rider to replace an exhausted Sam Masters who is suffering fatigue after his recent punishing Australian title campaign. AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP
What a busy week! Unfortunately - I missed out on being selected for this year’s Australian Solo Championships, however after saying that, the field was full of Aussie Internationals and frankly I was just not up to speed. I was still lucky enough to be a part of the event and travelled the rounds with one of my best mates Robert Medson as his mechanic. I felt I learnt a lot from doing this and the responsibility and commitment it takes from each rider to be a part of such a huge event. Last

    SA CHAMPIONSHIP
Hey everyone, just an update on how the SA State Title went for me on the weekend of 7th December. Unfortunately, I didn’t achieve the results that I was after. After a fall in the first race due to vision problems because of sun interference, the meeting got delayed allowing the sun to set. Unfortunately, this fall although it was a minor slide off also collected Fraser Bowes causing damage to both bikes. There was a re run with all four back in the race as it was noted that the sun was in

BEWLEY WINS SOUTH AUSTRALIAN SOLO CHAMPIONSHIP
As predicted 20-year-old British rider Dan Bewley won the National Karate South Australian Solo Championship at Gillman Speedway on Saturday night (7 December). Bewley, who has become something of a favourite with the crowds during his month in Australia with his exciting high-speed outside passes, was a class above the opposition and won all of his races with ease apart from his final heat in which he didn’t need to score any points to still get first choice of gate in the final and was beaten

  12. MILDURA SOLO MASTERS
    02 Dec, 2019
    MILDURA SOLO MASTERS
Friday night I took part in the Mildura Solo Masters at Olympic park Speedway, Mildura. There was a tough field of international riders from Australia, United Kingdom, Denmark and Poland. I went through the night steadily scoring 7 points with heat finishes 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Unfortunately, 7 points was not enough to grab a spot in the semi-final and so it ended my night. I was really happy with the amount of points that I scored against the tough field and look to improve my
